BRENHAM, Texas — Blue Bell Ice Cream is issuing a recall after some of its product was mispackaged at its Texas plants.
According to the release, an employee restocking the ice cream at a retailer noticed select lots of Rocky Road pints had Cookies ‘n Cream lids and was filled with the wrong ice cream.
The company was immediately notified of the error.
Cookies ‘n Cream contains soy and wheat which could pose a risk to those who have allergies.
No illnesses have been reported at this time.
The incorrect lots were shipped to retailers in Texas and Louisiana, and can be identified by the following code located on the bottom of the pint: 022918576.
