JACKSON, Miss. — Shoppers will soon be seeing a familiar brand on the shelves of their neighborhood grocery stores.
Blue Bell officially launched phase four on Monday, bringing the beloved ice cream back to stores in Louisiana and Mississippi.
All this week, 115 formerly furloughed employees will be stocking the freezer sections with several fan favorites including Buttered Pecan, Cookies ’n Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Homemade Vanilla, Peppermint, Pistachio Almond and The Great Divide.
In addition, the company will also be selling the 12-pak Homemade Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate Cups.
El Paso, Texas, Little Rock and Memphis will be added to the distribution market come January 11.
In all, more than 1,000 employees have been brought back to work since listeria concerns forced the company to shutdown temporarily to decontaminate it’s plants.
