WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — BMW says a flaw that could have left more than two million of its vehicles vulnerable to break-ins is now fixed.
The problem affected BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce models fitted with connected-drive technology.
It gives owners access to their cars through their smartphones.
But a flaw in that feature also meant hackers could get access to the vehicle using a phony cell phone base station to open car windows or doors.
