QUITMAN COUNTY, Miss. — The Mississippi State Department of Health issued a boil-water alert for residents who get their drinking from their water supply in Quitman County.
This alert affects 375 residents in the area.
Public health officials consider any system that loses pressure contaminated until tests prove otherwise.
Health officials strongly recommend that all water be boiled vigorously for one minute before it is consumed.
