OXFORD, Miss. — A Boil Water Alert has been issued for the University of Mississippi Oxford Campus.
A water main reportedly broke on campus leaving several buildings without water.
Officials said they have isolated the leak and are working to repair it now.
Due to the break and the loss of water pressure, a Boil Water Alert was issued for the entire campus except the Jackson Avenue Center.
That means any water that comes from the university should be boiled vigorously for one minute before used.
According to the alert, students and faculty will be alerted by RebAlert, email, UM Today and Twitter when the alert has finally been lifted.
