(Bolivar, TN) Friday in Bolivar, Tennessee, where the Bain girls attended school, folks are riding an emotional roller-coaster of prayer and thanksgiving.

Friday morning outside Bolivar Central High School dozens of students gather to pray. Their thoughts are on their classmate — murder victim Adrienne Bain and her mother Joann.
Adrienne will be sorely missed says one classmate, “No matter what kind of day I was having, all it would take was just a smile from her to brighten my day. and it really is just a shame that she is gone. “
In the midst of the tragedy there is good news.
Adrienne’s sisters, 12 year-old Alexandria and 8 year-old Kyliyah, survived their two-week ordeal with suspected kidnapper and murderer Adam Mayes.
Classmates of the two young girls are eager to welcome them back to their Bolivar schools. Students have put their emotions into words, “I have missed you so very much. I am glad you are safe. Love ya Alex.”
Bolivar Middle School Principal Marry Ann Polk says students here came up with idea of making a huge banner and most everyone is wearing a bright green ribbon with a picture of Alexandria.
“It amazes me that out of tragedy, the heart really flows. and that’s why we’re so excited and happy that Alex is home fine, as well as her little sister.”
At Bolivar Elementary School staff members put the finishing touches on two “goody” baskets for Kyliyah Bain.
Principal Bobby Doyle says there is still much to be thankful for, “We’re in celebration mode. We’re very elated and excited for Kyliyah’s safe return, and we’re celebrating.”
