MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Students, friends and family came out to Sparks Chapel at Briarcrest Christian School Monday morning to remember Rachel Lynch and Maddie Kruse.

The girls were killed after the vehicle they were in was rear-ended in Marshall County.

According to the reports, the group of five was headed east on Highway 78 on their way to the beach when the accident happened.

The vehicle the girls were in rolled off the highway and crashed into a steel pole.

Caroline Kam, her grandmother who was driving and Kara Holden were injured.
