Thirteen 1st graders honored years later for integrating Memphis City Schools

Here in the Bluff City a group of young people who were on the front lines of change are being recognized.

We’re talking about thirteen first graders who integrated Memphis City Schools.

For years their story has been kept quite but now it’s being told and they’re being honored.

The “Memphis 13” are this week’s Bright Spot.
