(Peoria, IL) Wrigley is taking its new caffeinated gum off store shelves for now while the FDA makes sure it’s safe.
The company says it won’t sell “Alert Energy Caffeine Gum” until the health effects of the added caffeine are understood.
Each stick of gum has the equivalent of a half a cup of a coffee.
Wrigley debuted the gum last month.
