MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There are just a couple of days left to adopt and drop off gifts for the Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree Program.
Directors of the Salvation Army are confident the community will come through for them but still have a few hundred angels left on their trees at Wolfchase, Oak Court and Carrefour.
They are also reminding people who have already adopted angels to turn in their presents.
“We want to make sure every child or senior citizen is taken care of this Christmas season,” Capt. Zach Bell with the Salvation Army of Memphis said.
The Salvation Army has some 5,000 children and seniors citizens from Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas on its list this year.
The final day to adopt is Saturday, Dec. 12.
The gifts will be handed over to the families on Saturday, Dec. 19.
