MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Locals pedaled their way to $475,000 raised for cancer research.
More than 1,200 cyclists, cancer survivors, volunteers and supporters participated in “Ride to Fight On” Saturday. The proceeds will benefit the University of Tennessee/West Institute for Cancer Research.
Those who chose to bike could ride 15-, 45-, 62- or 100-mile routes through Shelby County. Everyone finished at Robert Church Park, where they rang the “cancer survivor celebration bell.”
