SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Some Arlington and Lakeland residents were in the dark Saturday night after a car accident.

According to MLGW, the outage happened when a car hit a pole on Highway 70.

About 1,300 customers lost power, but MLGW said 500 of them got it back quickly.

The rest of the customers waited until Sunday morning to get power back.

The Arlington and Lakeland area has recently had power issues due to a substation, however this outage is unrelated.
