Cars vandalized near Bellevue Baptist Church

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating were found vandalized near Bellevue Baptist Church Sunday morning.

Police say they received a call around 4:40A.M that a car was found abandon at the rear gate of the church by Bellevue Baptist security.

Officers tell WREG, they checked the abandon car and found burglary tools and assorted keys to different makes of cars. After police widen the search, they found the truck that was used to force the gate open to the dealership lot across the street.

Several cars with key boxes were open, and the keys were missing. As they continued to check the lot, they found a 2009 Corvette that had been broken into and a 2012 Dodge Charger Super Bee that had been vandalized.

No cars were stolen from the dealership.

A suspect has not been arrested.
