Cato Johnson Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

(Memphis) The University of Memphis is honoring a dedicated member of the Mid-South community.

Cato Johnson is receiving the Authur S. Holmon Lifetime Achievement Award to kick off Black History Month.

Johnson is Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.

He’s also a member of the Governor’s Healthy Wellness Task Force.

“This award is extremely special for several reasons. One, the individual it was named after who was a person of great integrity and great passion. And two, it is the University of Memphis. It’s the university I graduated from along with my son, my wife and my brothers. The university means so much to this entire area. I am extremely proud to receive this award,” Johnson says.

The award was established in 1991 to honor Memphians whose lives exemplify outstanding dedication to the Memphis community.
