DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. —  Tampering with evidence charges against Mark Lynn Pearcy and Dylan Adams related to the murder of Holly Bobo have been dropped.

This comes just a day after Dylan Adams was indicted for raping Bobo the day she disappeared. The rape charge is not being dropped.

Mark Pearcy and his brother Jeffrey had been charged with tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact.

It appears the charges against Jeffrey Pearcy are still active.

While the State is dropping some of the charges, it reserves the right to refile any charges in the future.

We are told there are several reasons why the charges are being dropped, but they cannot be discussed at this time.

The District Attorney General’s Office confirms there are pending federal firearm charges against Mark Lynn Pearcy.

Those charges mean the state must wait until the federal case is over before pursuing its case because Pearcy is in federal custody.

Jason Autry, 39, has been indicted on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree felony murder.

Prosecutors have also been seeking an indictment against Shayne Austin, who was previously granted immunity.

The TBI is looking into claims a video tape exists of Bobo tied-up after her disappearance.

Bobo was last seen April 13, 2011 at her home in Decatur County.

The TBI identified her remains September 8.
