Woman found safe after being forced to work as prostitute

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis woman is now safe after she was reported missing late Saturday night.

Police said 22-year-old Katelynn Hebert disappeared around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 5800 block of Shelby Oaks Drive in Northeast Memphis.

A City Watch Alert was issued early Monday for the missing woman.

Witnesses told police that a man, 27-year-old Marvin Housley, forced Hebert to get into his maroon Ford Expedition against her will.

Housley was just arrested last week on sex trafficking charges involving Hebert.

According to an affidavit, Housley forced Hebert to work as a prostitute and threatened to kill her if she didn’t comply with his demands.

Housley was released after paying $75,000 bail.
