(Washington, D.C.) College debt is growing for students these days.
A new report shows the class of 2012 graduated with an average debt of close to $30,000.
That’s up nearly $4,000 from last year.
The group’s research director says rising tuition and families not able to contribute to college costs are causing students to take on more debt.
