(Memphis) The Town of Collierville has been dismissed from a lawsuit filed by Sherra Robinson-Wright.

Robison-Wright is the ex-wife of Lorenzen Wright who was murdered nearly three years ago.

The basketball star was found dead in a field, he’d been shot numerous times.

Robinson-Wright said  Collierville Police didn’t investigate Lorenzen’s phone records or contact nearby cities like Memphis, for information on his whereabouts.

She sued Collierville and it’s police department for negligence.

In the year and half since the suit, it seems Sherra has disappeared.

“There’s been no contact with her,” says Edward McKenney, who is the attorney for Collierville.

He has filed suit to have Sherra Wright’s lawsuit dismissed,  saying for almost two years Sherra Wright and her attorney Gale Mathes haven’t responded  to motions for information, haven’t appeared for depositions, and have not shown up for status conferences.

Monday Federal Judge Samuel Hardy Mays granted the order to dismiss the case.

McKenney says Collierville did follow-up on Lorenzen’s disappearance and could have done more if Sherra provided more information.

“Collierville did everything humanly possible for a police department to investigate this case,” says McKenney.

Sherra Wright didn’t answer the door at her Eads home Tuesday, but she was adamant a few years ago that she did try to help Collierville police early on.

“How can they say I didn’t cooperate. Before they ever had a search warrant I allowed them to go into my house and look into the attic,” Wright told us by phone back in October of 2011.

“The case just lingered and you can’t allow that to happen,” says McKenney.

Sherra Wright  still has time to respond to the issues in a similar suit she filed against the City of Germantown over how they handled Lorenzen Wright’s 911 call.

The judge says if she doesn’t  respond soon, that case could be dismissed as well.

Similar suits filed by Lorenzen’s parents still stand and are set for trial in September.
