(Collierville, TN) Collierville is known for a lot of things, but one thing you don’t think of are vandals hitting public parks there.
The town had to clean-up Johnson Park and Cox Park because they had graffiti in their bathrooms, parking lots, soccer fields, kids’ playgrounds and some trash cans were also busted-up.
“We are not sure if it is teenagers but I’m sure maybe some teenagers in the community know who did it,” said Assistant Chief of Police of the Collierville Police Department Jeff Abeln.
Collierville police are looking for people to come forward because they believe somebody knows who did the damage.
It happened overnight Sunday, February 17th.
Abeln says taxpayers also care where their money goes and they just spent about a thousand dollars cleaning-up after vandals, “I think they should be held accountable.”
Whoever is responsible for the vandalism could face time behind bars.
