MEMPHIS, Tenn. — City of Memphis community centers are adjusting hours this week to accommodate school children on fall break.

All 24 of the city’s community centers will be open October 12–16 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Division of Parks and Neighborhoods, which operates the community centers, said it wants to give students a “fun and safe environment” when they’re out of school.

The Shelby County Schools Division of Nutritional Health will provide students under 17 years old with free lunch and snacks during the week. There will also be activities planned, such as sports, games, arts and crafts, and music.
