CORINTH, Miss. –An Alcorn County Grand Jury charged a Corinth businessman with 60 counts of submitting fraudulent documents and conspiracy to fraudulently obtain public funds.

Doug Essary, the owner of Essary Truck Sales and Parts Inc., was accused of working with several other Alcorn County officials to submit inflated invoices and invoices for work that was never done.

He was arrested Thursday morning.

In addition to the indictments, it was demanded that Essary pay $44,168.17.

This is an ongoing investigation.
