Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said Monday that bars associated with restaurants can open Tuesday, May 19. Freestanding bars can open a week later, on the 26th.

The state added 54 new COVID cases since Sunday, for a statewide total of 4,813 cases.

On Sunday, Hutchinson said, there were 181 new cases, with most of them coming from prisons.
