MARSHALL COUNTY, Miss. — The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a gruesome child abuse case.

Investigators said 20-year-old Monica Euell and 22-year-old Jeremiah Crenshaw beat their 2-month old daughter.

According to Facebook, the infant’s name was Harmony.

Harmony’s injuries were so bad, she died at the hospital.

“Friday night I’ll be honest with you I don’t know if I slept an hour,” said Investigator Kelly McMillen with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

He called the case heartbreaking.

“It’s just one of those cases you’d never imagine you’d have to deal with,” said McMillen.

He said the abuse happened at a home on Mount Pleasant Road in Marshall County last Thursday.

When WREG attempted to speak with people there, we were ordered off the property.

McMillen said little Harmony was taken to LeBonheur children’s hospital on Friday but it was too late.

She had a fractured arm, leg, multiple ribs were broken and she had severe internal bleeding.

Harmony died on Saturday.

“There’s not enough words for the people at LeBonheur for what they done and how quickly they picked up on this,” said McMillen.

After getting word from LeBonheur of the suspicious injuries the Sheriff’s Department started investigating.

McMillen thinks the couple got into a fight which led to Harmony’s injuries.

“We are interviewing some people who saw the altercation take place Thursday afternoon that possibly led up to what happened to the child,” he explained.

McMillen said now the Sheriff’s Office and DA’s office will work together to make sure justice is served.

Crenshaw and Euell are both being held on $1.5 million bail.

If anyone knows anything about the case they’re asked to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
