(Memphis) Crews are taking to the skies to find out more information about the New Madrid seismic zone.
This week the U.S. Geological Survey will start conducting low-level flights across sections of three states looking for clues about the fault zone.
They will conduct the flights over a 1,400-square-mile area across Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee.
Crews will be measuring the magnetic field of the earth and underground rock formations to help locate hidden faults.
