MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Cars and crowds began arriving early Thursday morning to pay last respects to murdered Memphis Police Officer Sean Bolton.
Law enforcement from all over filed into Bellevue Baptist Church, many with blue lights flashing.
Members of the Patriot Guard Riders wanted to honor Officer Bolton for his service to the community and the country as a Marine.
“I knew Sean. He was a good man. He gave his whole life; he was serving his whole life,” said John O’Bryan.
The distance didn’t matter to those who are part of a brotherhood that’s dedicated to protect and serve.
People who respect and appreciate that commitment like Donna Lebo, whose son is an MPD Officer, also wanted to say thanks.
“My son is a Memphis a Police Officer and if it was my son, I would hope she would pay her respects to my child. Breaking my heart,” she said.
Those who don’t put their lives on the line everyday, want those who do to know their work, the work of Sean Bolton, does not go unnoticed.
“All the cops coming together for their fellow officer is absolutely beautiful,” said on funeral goer. “Makes us stand together as a one for our police officers to protect our nation.”
