MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The 25-year-old woman who was on trial for luring a former police officer to his death has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, Ashley Carver was sentenced to 32 years in prison with no parole on Wednesday.
The trial ended when she admitted to taking part in the robbery and shooting death of 57-year-old Charles Jones back in February 2012.
She also confessed to killing Leonard Davidson who was murdered just a month early in the 700 block of North Montgomery.
In addition to the murder charges, Carver pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, and especially aggravated kidnapping.
Carver’s boyfriend, Michael Dean, faces four counts of first-degree murder, including the shooting deaths of James Rucker and Melody Weddle in 2011.
Prosecutors have said they are seeking the death penalty for Dean.
