MEMPHIS, Tenn. — TDOT will open one lane of the new I-40 east ramp to Nashville August 29.
The second lane will not open until 2017.
The project, the largest undertaken by TDOT, started in October of 2013.
The second ramp for I-40 west to Little Rock is still under construction.
Two lanes are being added to Sam Cooper.
Lanes are also being added to both directions of I-40.
The bridge over the Wolf River will be replaced as part of the project.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
