MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Testimony continued in the trial of a man accused of killing a Memphis police officer Friday.

It will continue Saturday morning at 10:30.

On Friday, the defense called three crime scene experts who combed through the evidence following Officer Sean Bolton’s death in 2015.

The first testified that he processed the vehicle that the defendant Tremaine Wilbourn was in prior to the incident and found marijuana inside.

The second said he recovered fingerprints from that same vehicle and was able to link them to Wilbourn.

The third said Officer Bolton’s gun was fully loaded and had not been fired the night he was killed.

The prosecution then showed the jury video of Wilbourn pulling into the Bent Tree Apartments in the same car he’s accused of stealing less than 30 minutes after the shooting. Prosecutors said he was going to see his girlfriend.

A U.S. Marshal took the stand next and testified that Wilbourn actually turned himself in two days after the shooting. He stated the someone called Wilbourn and encouraged him to turn himself in.

He was taken into custody without any resistance.
