MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One of the defendants accused of being involved in the death of 7-year-old Kirsten Williams who was murdered while playing outside with her friends back in April has plead guilty to charges in a separate incident.
Jordan Clayton, 22, confessed to unlawfully possessing a Glock .40 caliber pistol on Friday.
In April 2015, agents with the Multi-Agency Gang Unit went to arrest Clayton on other charges when they saw him drop the weapon into a filing cabinet inside a business.
He’s scheduled to be sentenced in May.
Clayton faces up to 10 years behind bars and up to a $250,000 fine.
Williams was playing outside on April 10 when she was shot in the head and killed.
Clayton, along with three others, was indicted on first-degree murder back in September.
Investigators believe the four deliberately targeted the girl.
Kirsten died at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
