(Memphis) Former Memphis Mayor Dr. Willie Herenton is no stranger to being in the hot seat, so he had no problem sitting comfortably in it once again this weekend.
The Shelby County Democratic Party held a roast for the former schools superintendent and city mayor Saturday night.
Judge Joe Brown was the moderator for the evening.
Roasters included Mayor A C Wharton, County Commissioner Sidney Chism and a list of other city leaders and known personalities.
The event was held at the Colonial Country Club and money raised will benefit the Shelby County Democratic Party.
