Desoto County Is Becoming More Diverse

(Desoto County) Desoto County is on the rise as far as diversity is concerned.

That’s because the number of African-American residents has increased by about ten percent over the past two years, compared to a less than one percent rise in the white population.

The county also saw a 7.7 percent rise.

Overall, the county is 73.4 percent white, 23.4 percent African American and 1.3 percent Asian or other.
