MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men were killed Sunday morning in an accident on I-40 Road at Sycamore View Road.
Police say 21-year-old Sergio Gomez was traveling westbound on I-40 when a dog house fell off the back of his truck onto the highway.
Gomez stopped and tried to pick up the dog house, at which time he was hit by a motorcyclist also traveling westbound on I-40.
Gomez and 31-year-old Jimmy Mackey died on the scene.
The passenger riding on the motorcycle was transported to Regional Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
