SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Two people are in custody after a multi-state, high-speed chase involving gun fire, K-9 units and undercover agents Tuesday.

Witnesses said the chase started at a Southaven gas station, and the suspect almost plowed through a shaved ice stand where families hang out.

The chase ended on Getwell near Shelby Drive in Memphis.

DeSoto County undercover agents said they were spying on a drug deal when it turned into a robbery, so they stepped in.

They said on suspect was caught at the gas station, and the other took off in a car leading deputies on a high-speed chase.

Officers said they were almost run over by his car multiple times.

Southaven police fired a shot at his car, but that didn’t get him to stop either.

Finally, stop sticks on Getwell forced the suspect to pull over.

He then fled on foot, but moments later was caught by a K-9 Officer.

WREG is told the only person hurt was the suspect involved in the car chase. He apparently got bit by the K-9 officer.

Investigators said both suspects will face a list of charges.

WREG will let you know when the suspects’ names and charges are released.
