ARLINGTON, Tenn. — A delivery truck driver called Tennessee Emergency Management Agency after he saw something leaking out of the truck’s trailer.

The Arlington and Shelby County fire departments responded and determined it was sodium hydroxide, also known as lye. There were two barrels of it in the truck.

The driver noticed the leak when he was making a delivery to a business on Gulf Stream Road in Arlington.

The dock area of that business has been evacuated.
