(Memphis)  The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has cancelled a West Tennessee Endangered Child Alert for a missing 16-month-old boy.

Investigators say Katie Lin Barnes and her 16-month-old son Landon Cole Barnes were found safe at the home of a friend in Memphis.

Landon is in state custody while his mother has been taken into medical custody.

Deputies in Decatur County say Landon Cole Barnes had last been seen around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at his grandfather’s home in Parsons.

Landon was reported missing when his grandfather came home and found that Katie had packed up all her belongings and left with the child.

He later received a text message from his daughter that said she didn’t want to live.

Barnes has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and isn’t taking her medication.
