JACKSON, Miss. — There’s good news for Entergy customers in Mississippi.

Your energy bills are going down.

It’s the first drop of the year and will mean customers could see an average reduction of about $11 on their bills starting in April.

Then in July, customers will get another break of about $2 on top of the nearly $7 off approved last month.

The Public Service Commission said the price of natural gas is dropping so they are not charging customers as much.

The decrease in April will be the second time customers have seen a decrease since January.

“This is obviously good news for Entergy customers throughout the state. As always the commission will continue to work with Entergy & other utilities, to provide low cost services to their customers,” said Cecil Brown, Central District Commissioner.

Similar adjustments are expected in the next couple of months from Mississippi Power Company.
