MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities are searching for a woman who allegedly pointed a gun at another driver and opened fire on her vehicle.

It happened Thursday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.

Police said a woman was headed south on Perkins Extended. She reportedly just crossed Poplar when she claimed a black, four-door Volvo tried to cut her off.

According to the police report, the driver in the Volvo became furious she could not get over, so she reportedly rolled down her window, aimed a black handgun and fired a shot.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Drivers told WREG they’re unnerved especially since that armed driver is still out there.

Jerry Lejeune said she spends a lot of time at the bus stop next to the intersection, butit’s the first time hearing something like this.

“Oh honey, I’m 75 years old. I think it’s horrible. They have got to learn to  control themselves,” Lejeune said.

Officers report the victim wrote down the license plate number. They’re following up as well as collecting other evidence.

There is also a lot of cameras in the area that can hopefully provide police with more information
