Speed limit to go down on part of Central Avenue

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Motorists will need to go a little slower on a section of Central Avenue starting Oct. 5.

The speed limit will be lowered to 35 miles per hour, down from 40 miles per hour, on Central Avenue between Highland Street and Goodlett Street, which is the section which travels across the University of Memphis campus.
