CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. –It was hard for James McGhee to even make it through our interview- the whole time fighting back tears.

Just several feet away were flowers and stuffed animals where five children lost their lives.

“Man, it’s been painful. It’s painful right now talking about it,” he said.

Family members identified one of those kids as 10-year-old Zy-Anna Harris.

“You see her. When you see her you see the sweetness in her. You’ll be like look ‘She cute.'”

McGhee said his stepdaughter loved to dance, head a heart of gold and a bright future ahead of her, but one man snatched it away.

Johnthony Walker is accused of speeding with a bus full of children before he lost control and crashed on Talley Road.

“My prayers go out to everybody. To all of everybody else family– the kids that’s injured, the ones that passed I pray for them too.”

Family members in mourning as five seats will now be empty at the Thanksgiving table.

“It’s an angel that’s gone. She was young. Her life hadn’t even really begun. She gone. She gone.”

“I love you. I love you. Them would be my words,” he added.
