MEMPHIS, Tenn. — “I’m gonna put on my robe, tell the story. Of how I made it over,” the choir sang at Kirsten Williams’ funeral.

Kirsten, also know as ‘Angel Juice’, was not given the chance to live.

Family and friends remembered the little girl as sweet, kind and smart.

“She always did her best to make sure everyone around her, especially her family, were happy,” Dr. Eric Lowell Winston said.

Family and friends shared their best memories, and others broke down coping with the loss.

“Kirsten loved helping others,” an educator, from Chargene Elementary School, said.

Kirsten’s life was snatched away last Friday as she was gunned down while playing in front of a friend’s house.

“Everything in me. My body just shut down,” Sheena Kimbrough, Kirsten’s cousin, told WREG.

“It’s the worst day of my life,” Charles Davis, Kirsten’s uncle, described.

With three known gang members locked up for her killing, Kirsten’s family sees a larger purpose for her death.

“We’re going to make something positive out of this,” Davis said. “We going to bring together the community, the city out of this.”

The family is calling for local leaders to step up and do whatever it takes to prevent senseless killings from happening again.

“This time it’s my family. Next time it may be your family,” Davis said.

“Dressing up like this should only be a celebration. Not to see a little kid go home man,” Demarcus Davis said.

Kirsten’s family believes she is up in heaven, and their ‘Angel Juice’ is looking down over them.

“Kirsten I love you, and I miss you,” Kimbrough said.
