MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Jessica Chambers’ picture is popping up along Mid-South interstates.
District Attorney John Champion confirms the FBI is putting up billboard ads asking for tips in the Jessica Chambers murder investigation.
Friday marks two months since someone set the Panola County teenager on fire along a country road and killed her.
Champion said the billboard ads are going up in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas. He doesn’t know how many billboards there will be.
The billboard says “Seeking Information” and lists Chambers as a murder victim from Dec. 6, 2014. It includes the phone number 601-948-5000 and says there is a reward offered.
Champion confirmed the reward is currently $54,000. That’s because Yalobusha CrimeStoppers recently added $1,000 to the fund.
WREG spotted the billboard off I-40 near Wolf River and spoke with people at visitors center off I-40, but no one said they had seen the billboard yet.
Investigators have not publicly named any suspects so far in the investigation.
