MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Many crews took to Memphis streets and sidewalks Monday after the February Freeze took hold once again overnight.

Monday marks one week since the wintery weather seized the Mid-South.

Cleaning up the wintery mess, as well as dealing with the cold weather, is exhausting many people.

Midtown resident Linda Davis said she feels caged in.

“It’s been very hard to walk the dog. She just kind of glides along and I’ve been falling a lot,” Davis said, referring to the ice.

WREG visited Beale Street, where about a week ago, crews had to chisel away a sheet of ice from the sidewalks.

One employee at Blues City Cafe was spreading salt Monday and said spirits remain high.

“There are cities that they’re up on the weather bad, but we holding on. We pretty good,” James Crutcher said.

Parts of the Mid-South remain under an extended winter weather advisory, lasting through the rest of Monday.
