MISSISSIPPI — Disaster recovery centers were opened in the two Mississippi counties hit hardest by last month’s tornadoes.

One of the FEMA centers is at the Ashland Fire Department in Benton County.

The other was is in Marshall County, at the Spring Hollow Plaza in Holly Springs.

Both are scheduled to be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Eleven people died from two powerful tornadoes that tore an almost continuous path of destruction from Clarksdale to Selmer back on December 23.
