Fifteen-year-old runs into woman’s home

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Surveillance cameras captured terrifying video of a teenager crashing into two North Memphis homes on Macon Road Wednesday morning.

“I didn’t know what it was. I didn’t know if it was someone trying to break into my house. I didn’t know what it was,” said Casey Delossantos.

Delossantos and her children were in one of the houses when the truck crashed into it.

She said as soon as she heard the impact her instincts kicked in.

“So I ran and got all my kids and put them all together so they’re all safe just in case something happened–a fire sparked or something,” she said.

Police said the driver was a 15-year-old who stole his parent’s truck.

After the accident ge was taken to Le Bonheur Hospital and should be fine.

There’s no word of charges will be filed, but the driver was given a juvenile summons.

“We were like what happened? And he was like, ‘the steering wheel got stuck,'” explained Delossantos.

She said it’s a miracle no one was hurt.

Her children had just been in the living room, which now is a pile of crumbled bricks and cement.

“I guess God woke them up and told them to get in another room because if not they could’ve been killed,” she said.

Delossantos estimated the damage would cost her about $10,000 but said its a small price to pay for how thankful she is.

“All my kids are okay. They’re all still here and that’s a blessing. The house can be replaced,” she said.
