MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Cellphone video caught a vicious fight between two women.
There was fighting, hair pulling and even some clothes coming off during that fight.
Then two other girls started arguing.
Fight one led to fight two, and if that wasn’t enough, then the guys started duking it out.
Things got even more serious when one man was heard saying, “Go get the gun.”
In seconds one argument turned into three.
It happened in Binghampton, which has it’s own police station, built in the middle of it’s high-crime area.
Business and church leaders were tearing down old buildings and adding new ones and creating jobs, yet few said they feel safe.
“I don’t go nowhere. I ain’t got time. I’m scared,” said Jeanette Henderson.
Police had their hands full while the teens fought.
Another man was arrested for causing a scene at the same time across the street.
We found seven fights in the past two weeks in the general area, not to mention a deadly shooting at an apartment July 6.
“While we see incidents like last night that come along that aren’t favorable, we remember a time before the Tillman precinct came along where our crime was up 40 percent higher than what it is now,” said Rev. Keith Norman of First Baptist Church, who has been working to help the area rebuild.
“We don’t expect it to happen overnight, we know change takes a long time,” Norman said.
