(Memphis) The fight against HIV and AIDS took center stage at a rally at LeMoyne Owen College Saturday.

The “Fight! Mobilize! Win!” pep rally was part of the Memphis Ryan White Program’s “Know Now. Live Longer.” campaign.

The pep rally included a balloon launch and free food and local entertainment. There were also information booths and free AIDS testing.

The Memphis Ryan White Program is one of several organizations partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to bring a free community event to Memphis to commemorate National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

The first National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10.
