MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis fire crews are on the scene at the Chisca Hotel in downtown Memphis. They were called to the scene for a fire on the top floor of the building around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. There is no report of any injuries. The hotel also caught fire in September. The small fire was brought under control quickly, and the exterior of the building wasn’t damaged. The vacant hotel, located at South Main Street and Linden Avenue, is undergoing renovations. The plan is to transform the hotel, which was built in 1913, into an apartment building with more than 150 units and commercial space.
