First responders to get help dealing with murders of four children

SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — While the murders of four children in a Shelby County apartment complex are upsetting to anyone, they are particularly tough on those who were first to the scene.

First responders are fire, police, and other emergency personnel who make it to the scene when the first call goes out.

There’s no doubt the images they’ll take away with them today will stay with them.

Therapists and clergy have been called to the scene to help those who seek counseling.
