JACKSON, Miss. — Flags across the state of Mississippi will remain lowered for another day.

On Monday, Governor Phil Bryant issued another executive order stating the American flag would be flown at half-staff until Tuesday, October 6.

Originally an executive order was issued by Bryant that stated it would be flown until Monday at sunset in honor of those killed at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon.

Those plans had to be extended after President Barrack Obama issued his own proclamation ordering the flag be lowered until Tuesday at sunset.
