(Dearborn, MI) Federal regulators are investigating nearly 725,000 Ford cars and SUVs for problems with stalling engines.
The probe affects Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner SUVs, as well as Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans made between 2009 and 2011.
Ford has not recalled the vehicles, but the investigation could lead to a recall.
